What to do if you have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19

If a student, teacher or professional in any institution presents clinical features of COVID-19 (symptoms such as fever, a cough and shortness of breath), and they may have been in a risk area or exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19, health professionals recommend that you:

  • Stay home, following the recommended hygiene indications.

  • Contact:

    • In Granada and the rest of Andalusia: +34 955 54 50 60 (SALUD RESPONDE)

    • Autonomous City of Melilla: 112

    • Autonomous City of Ceuta: +34 900 720 692

  • Report the suspected case of COVID-19 infection. Health professionals will assess the patient's clinical situation and epidemiological history, and will give patients instructions on what to do.

In cases in which a student, teacher or worker in the institution has a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19, the Public Health Service in Granada has established a protocol to contact the UGR’s Health and Risk Prevention (SPRL) Service. This UGR service will transfer/determine the necessary health measures, together with the Epidemiological Surveillance Service of the Andalusian Ministry for Health and Family Affairs.
