Full Headline: Joint Communiqué from the Rectors of the Association of Andalusian Public Universities and the Andalusian Regional Minister for the Economy, Knowledge, Entreprises and Universities

2nd April 2020

In the light of the Resolution of the Spanish National Parliament of 25th March 2020 which orders the publication of Authorization to extend the State of Alarm declared by Royal Decree 463/2020 on 14th March and, further, in the likelihood that it will not be possible to resume on-campus teaching even when the State of Alarm is officially ended, the Regional Minister for the Economy, Knowledge, Enterprises and Universities, and the Rectors of the Andalusian Public Universities have agreed at a meeting held on 1st April 2020 the following:

  1. To continue all teaching on-line for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year.

  2. To prepare as soon as possible a general contingency framework, which each University will then be able to adapt, in order to determine how to proceed for each of the following: placements which cannot be carried out on-line, assessment, course guides, adaptation of the academic calendar and the organization of final dissertations at undergraduate and Master’s levels.

Both the Regional Ministry and the Rectors reiterate their commitment to work in a coordinated fashion, and to adopt the best possible solutions to guarantee the functioning of the 2019-2020 academic year.
