In view of the evolution of the health situation and the new extension of the measures adopted in accordance with Royal Decree 926/2020 of 25 October, declaring a state of alarm to contain the spread of infections caused by SARS-CoV-2, and the Order of 23 November 2020, amending the Order of 8 November 2020, which modulated alert levels 3 and 4 as a result of the critical Covid-19 epidemiological situation in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia and, moreover, with the aim of providing certainty to the university community and organising and planning teaching activities, the Rectorate of the University of Granada has decided, in agreement with the Rectors of the Andalusian public universities, to extend the measures currently in force, at least until the end of the teaching period of the first semester, under the terms indicated below.
About the announcement of the extension of the Covid-19 measures adopted by the regional authorities

The Regional Government of Andalusia has issued, in its Official Gazette (BOJA) no. 65 (extraordinary issue), the Order of 14 October 2020, establishing specific, temporary and exceptional measures — for public health reasons and to contain Covid-19 — which are applicable to university teaching centres and university residences in Granada.
The University Catering Services (SCU) of the University of Granada opened its doors on 21 September, coinciding with the start of the 2020-21 academic year, making its four canteens available to the University community:
- Cartuja University Canteen
- Aynadamar University Canteen
- Fuentenueva University Canteen
- Health Sciences Technology Park (PTS) University Canteen
- Comedor del Parque Tecnológico de la Salud (PTS)
Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14 March declared a state of alert in order to facilitate the management of the health emergency triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. This Decree agreed to suspend all on-site academic activities throughout the entire education system. Since then, the Andalusian University System has adopted, in a coordinated fashion, various agreements on adapting universities to these exceptional circumstances.
